The Bedroom
With a Simba mattress and lovely pillows, you can certainly sink into this bed for a peaceful nights sleep, its brass bed frame sits perfectly in the traditional cottage style decor. We have chosen a lovely velvet throw & cushions featuring Kingfishers, and there are two fluffy hoodies for those cooler nights…

The Mezzanine
Whilst we normally accommodate two guests in the main bedroom, but we were asked to provide an alternative sleeping space – this led us to create additional sleeping on two fold out chair beds. These are most suitable for people under 1.8m and are really intended for one or two nights. You do get the most amazing view to wake up to though… open the window and there are just trees and fields to look at – you can get the most mazing stars too! You won’t need to disturb the sleepers in the main bedroom for the wc – there is one in the hallway downstairs.

The Living Room
The living room has comfort and relaxation written all over it… from message on the walls, to squishy leather sofa and chairs, plenty of cushions and throws too. There is the option of mood lighting in a range of colours… [ we didn’t install this but it does have its place at times] There is the log burner in late autumn / winter too! If you need help to set a fire, we are on hand to show you, but if you prefer to leave it to the underfloor heating, its up to you.
We have a range of magazines, books, jigsaws and board games too, on request we can even provide some knitting needles and wool and a simple knitting pattern!
We have no TV in the living room, however we do have great wifi and you are welcome to connect your own devices.

The Kitchen & Breakfast Bar
Here you will find a well equipped full kitchen, oven, hob, extractor, freezer, fridge and dishwasher. There are also the usual appliances too, microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and kettle [there is even a Churro maker, a favourite of our grandchildren when they stay over]
Our kitchen drawers have sharp knives, plenty of useful bits and bobs like a good grater, wooden spoons and non stick pans, storage boxes and essentials like foil, clingfilm and cleaning materials. There is an iron and mini ironing board if you really need one! First Aid box, hot water bottles and fire extinguisher too!
We know that sometimes, getting to your destination involves a drive, maybe arriving later in the evening… so we provide a snack basket and also a breakfast offering… usually cereal, fruit, milk and breakfast bars. We might leave you fresh produce from our garden, at the moment its tomatoes, figs and blackberries [August] but don’t worry if you don’t like them – just pop them back to us at the house!

The Dining Area
The window seat is perfect for gazing out of the window, as is the dining table and 4 chairs.
You’ll probably notice that we have lovely vintage crockery, its Portmerion and some of it is from the 1970’s – all of it is in excellent condition and we hope you enjoy its floral designs as much as we do.
